Hi chaps

I have tried to connect rman untility but the utility would not opened for me,also i have checked the utility rman file privilege it seems correct like another utilities and also checked the archived mode its properly enabled

when i tried like this:
home/dbs$]rman target /;

Its shows
rman: can't open target

Plz give me the suggesstion to overcome this problem.

Actually our database server version 9.2.0.7.0 ,my doubt is rman utility is not working in your database.

Is there is anyway to check wheather utility is working or not thats my doubt.

On some versions of *nix, an Operating System utility called "rman" can exist & be found 1st in the PATH.


What does "which rman" produce?

Actually our database rman utility resides in

/mnt/oracle/9.2.0/bin/rman path

dbs] rman
it shows: rman: can't open target

The problem solved i have recreate the database now the rman utility works fine.
