Hi Friends,
I am quite new to this forum. Please let me know the difference between the main controlfile and the backup control file. Does it vary in the contents it have. Like extra information about checkpoint and SCN. I would like to know most clear explation about this

This is that.
In backup control file there is no data about scn.
Many other things are zeroed.
You can make an experience: take a backup control file and make a diff between the 2 files.
