I was trying to build a standby database (oracle 8i) and went through all the steps then got this error

ORA-01152: file 1 was not restored from a sufficiently old backup

can anyone offer any help as to a solution for this.

ok i copied my datafiles transfered them to the standby dtatabase then did the reghular steps to bring up the standby database it mounted and everythingbut when i tried to synch the log files i got the error

hope this is enough

If you did all the regular steps then it worked.

If you don't want to post DETAILED STEPS, You're On Your Own (YOYO).
