You should submit a Service Request as with any ORA-00600 error.
I guess that this is occuring on some DB that is older than V10.2 & most likely a known bug that has been fixed in current release.

What OS name, version & Oracle version to 4 decimal places.
What is actual SQL that generates error & what are underlying table definitions?

I am using

OS:- Sun Solaris
version:- 9
Oracle version:- 9.2.0.6.0
DB size:- 400 GB

We are getting this error at the time when we try to insert some rows. We have raised SR.... Oracle ppl are saying to do analyse the table. but its taking a hell of time as the table is having around 255000 rows.

kindly help.

Regards,
Amit

since this is an internal error, only the Oracle support guys can help..on the oracle metalink, there are many resources related to this error..so you can try to look up these resources. I think there is something called as Ora-600 look up tool that too u can use. this things Oracle guys will do anyway but you could as well refer to these.

hi,

thanx 4 ur support... we have solved this problem by doing incomplete recovery. by replacing the database with the cold backup and applying the archive logs.

recover database untill time '' using backup control file;
