How can i migrate database from 8.1.7 on solaris to 10gR2 on Linux with ASM disk.
Is it possible to do an exp/imp?Do i have to create a database with the same SID and tablespace before?
I have installed the 10g on my new server and got the backup of 8.1.7 tape backup and dont know the tablespace structure of the old database. Is it possible for me to do an imp without knowing the filesystem or tablespace structure.
