Archivelogs error [message #219047]

What the below command will do? When i included in the below command im getting some error. Ex. I detelete Feb 1- 5 day archival i deleted manually.

backup as COMPRESSED BACKUPSET tag '%TAG' archivelog all;

Its failing because its looking Feb first archival folder under flash_reocery_area. But my question is why its looking Feb 1st archival. From when it will archive? what is the starting point if i give the above statement.

ORA-19625: error identifying file /u14/db10gr2/flash_recovery_area/DB10GR2/archi
velog/2007_02_01/o1_mf_1_14_2w4ysl8n_.arc

The below command is in 10g Rel 2 document.

BACKUP DEVICE TYPE sbt
ARCHIVELOG ALL FROM TIME 'SYSDATE-10'
DELETE ALL INPUT;

I dont want to delete archival files. just i want to take 1 day file daily. so

backup as COMPRESSED BACKUPSET tag '%TAG' archivelog all FROM TIME 'SYSDATE-1';

it's failing MAN-00558: error encountered while parsing input commands

can you please let me know can i use like this or not?
