Hi,

I am trying to duplicate database using rman to different host and I would like to
make the same file structure as it is on the target server. I don't
understand some steps from
oracle documentation and those are:

What structure has to be the same (only place where are my dbf files and
control files for example or that goes for Oracle_home and other oracle file
structure)?

I have copied the rman backup structure from target host to aux host but I
don't understand where I precisely say that during duplication rman use that
backup structure.
Is this possible trough configuration rman parameters or something else?

Is it possible to duplicate database on remote host with the same structure
where on aux host I use the different ORACLE_SID?

If somebody has the complete procedure for description of duplicate database
to remote host with the same structure (but not from oracle documentation
than from his own
experience) I would be grateful to send me.

Thanks in advance
