Hi All,

What is the best way or options to transfer a hot backup of a production database files to another server and recover it ?

The database's got archive logs.

just copy the backup files to the other machine.
On the other machine you can duplicate the production database into the 'test' database.
The directory structure must be the same on both machines, then you can use the 'duplicate'command...

Just to add,
You can just NFS mount / share the backup location to other server.
And even if the directory structure is different, you can still use RMAN DUPLICATE ( Just rename the files within RMAN ).
