VNI-2024 : Couldnt fork authentication process. [message #173657]

Hi all,

I have ORACLE 9i on a Solaris 9 Box,and RMAN backup jobs are scheduled for daily incremental backups.But for the last couple days,the jobs have been failing,with the error "VNI-2024 : Couldnt fork authentication process."

Anyone with any idea how to solve it? I didn't see any post about it.

VNI-2024 is usually an OEM error.
Using OEM to backup?
Make sure the concerned listner and intelligent agent are reachable.
Look into OMS logs.
THere should be more details messages

Yes, I use OEM to do backup job. I checked listner and agent, it works fine.
where can I find OEM log?

Hello,

We are also having similar error. Did you find a solution for this. Our jobs are scheduled on OEM 2.2 It was all working fine until recently. Now we are getting VNI-2015 errros for authentication.

Where should we look for OEM logs?
