plz can some body help me that how can I move my Oracle database from my systems hard disk to an external hard disk...and then again load it in another system...plz it's really urgent...reply me as soon as possible...

Depends on how complex things are and volume of database.
If the source and target are of same OS/Oracle version, then you may be able to just copy files and mount the instance in other system (search the board for COLD COPY).
or
You can export from the source and import into target.

Thanks for your help...
well my database is in Oracle 9i and I'm working on windows 2000...it contains about 30 table with no much data...

are u talking about message #68974...by the name of Cold Backup...do I have to do the same process?? and what are archive files...

actually I have to give my database to another person so that he can link som ASP forms to it...and I'll give him the database in an external hardisc(like Flash Memory) which is 40 GB...so, what and how should I do this???
plzzzzz reply me as soon as possible...I only have two to three days...I shall be very gratefull to u for ur help...

Export/import will do for you.
Look into the link in previous posting.
