Hi

While taking image copy backup using rman as follows:

RMAN> copy datafile '/home/oracle/newdb2/sys01.dbf' to '/home/oracle/bkup/sys0101.bkp' tag 'system0101';

As it is taking physical datafile backup when database is up , will it does some harm to the database.
Plz explain if not why? (because some transactions will take place at the time of applying this statement, but why it will not does any harm to database?)

Regards,
Praveen
