We are working on backup strategy for high availability system.

If I will use hardware mirroring ( Raid 1) will it mean that I should not implement
redo log, control file multiplexing?

You can use both, or only one of them. If you use both, you'll need more disc space of course and the performance will go down, but maybe only a little.
If it's necessary or beter to use both? There are advantages (more copies) and disadvantages (slower, more space needed)...
