Hi All
Our customer is reinstall the oracle ,and the data was lost ,but he take the folder oradata before reinstall the oracle 8i ,
Now How we restore the the old data from oradata files

Take it where??? In its pocket, in its home? What do you mean - take it???
Did he shutdown the database, stop the Oracle service and made backup of this folder? If so he should have the db still in tact. All he has to do is to create the Oracle service with oradim.
