Hi,
I got the following error, when I executed 'rman' utility from the unix prompt.
Recovery Manager: Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00554: initialization of internal recovery manager package failed
RMAN-03000: recovery manager compiler component initialization failed
RMAN-06000: could not open recovery manager library file:
Our .profile is having the following settings :
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/openlink/lib:/usr/lib:/lib:/rdbms/lib:/opt/TMCdarwin/lib
PATH=/usr/bin::/usr/local/openlink/bin:/usr/local/openlink/samples/UDBC:/usr/local/openlink/samples/ODBC::/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.6/bin
Could you please help me to rectify this error ASAP..?

are u doin all this as RMAN user?
if so, check out whether RMAN has been given required
permissions
