Hi Everyone,

I have an old oraDB10g database on a server that's going to be shutdown but the database needs to be moved to another server that doesn't have oradb10g installed. Is there a way to move the database to a free version or something similiar ?

Welcome to the forum.
Please read the OraFAQ Forum Guide and How to use [code] tags and make your code easier to read.

The licence free edition is XE, current release is 21.something,
https://www.oracle.com/uk/database/technologies/xe-downloads.html
you can't upgrade from 10 to 21 in one step, you'll have to go via 12.something which makes it all a bit complicated.
Also, XE has limits, most importantly only 12GB of user data, so if you can't work within the limits you'll have to run on a licensed platform.

Sales alert! The company I work for has a line of business where we host customer environments on our licensed cloud servers, that can be a low cost solution. Send me a PM if that might be of interest.
