Hi,

What will be the effect of insert statement on expdp if I am doing full table export?

Thanks,
Manu

It depends upon timing of each & when COMMIT occurred (or not).

Other sessions do not see uncommitted data.

What will happen if I committed a transaction and export of the same table is ongoing?

It depends upon timing of each & really has little to do with export itself.
It is documented on Concepts Manual regarding Read Consistent View of how Oracle presents data.

The original export utility had the CONSISTENT & OBJECT_CONSISTENT parameters (see here). Export data pump doesn't have these any more, but offers FLASHBACK_SCN and FLASHBACK_TIME (see here).

Maybe you'll find interesting Where has consistent=y gone when using Datapump export.
